Encourage My People

Encourage My People

I have been hearing the words 'Encourage my people' and I have been asking God - how? What can I do?

I can only give you what I have and because of what God has given to me I have had a great peace since this whole 'virus' started.  I know in my heart and spirit that God's Word is the highest authority about all things.  I pray that the words that I share are an encouragement to you.

I received this word which I have recorded on the 30th April 2019 and was thinking in my own head that it was about the Brexit situation - and how that was going to effect our nation.  But regardless of what lay ahead, the instruction from the Holy Spirit was to stay close, stay hungry and thirsty after the presence of God and His Word.

We are very privileged to live in these days, God is about to do something so amazing.  Many times over the last year, I heard the Holy Spirit whispering "Are you ready?"  with a strong sense of excitement  - in the same way we would say to our children when we have a surprise for them.

Many times I found myself answering "Yes Lord, I want to be, but I'm not sure if I am ready". As I felt urgency and great sense of how important his plan was and at the same time feeling 'I don't want to miss it or mess it up'.  But He would gently remind me that its not in my own strength, but His.

Since this 'virus' started many have been quoting the promises of Psalm 91 - but we must remember that the key to the promises are in the first 2 verses which says   "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

When we stay, remain and dwell in the secret place -in His Presence - we will be protected and we will say "He is my refuge and my fortress".

I don't know how God is going to turn this all around - BUT I DO KNOW that He will and I'm excited to see how he does it.  Be encouraged today that God has a great plan and you are part of that plan. xx
