Walking in Peace through the Storms

Image
There is something amazing about a great night's sleep.  It is something most people take for granted, but it is something we should be very thankful for.  It is a time for our physical body to rest and heal itself and for our minds to rest.  But this is not always easy, so many things can upset and disturb a restful sleep - even being over tired can itself be a major problem. I remember a time when I couldn't sleep because of pain, it was so difficult to get comfortable and the pain killers always seem to give me disturbing dreams.  It seemed like a vicious circle - even the sleep I did manage to get wasn't restful. And emotional pain not only exhausted me mentally but was causing my body to tense up and cause even more health problems.  My doctor one day did a simple little exercise with me  - I had been attending the hospital and different doctor appointments, but nothing was working - no matter what they did or what medication they gave me nothing seemed to be work

Dancing in the Rain

At this time of year, if you ask a young child what they are getting for Christmas they will be filled with excitement and expectation.  They haven't received anything yet, but they are filled with joy and begin to jump up and down with excitement as they tell you what they going to get. Everyone loves to see this innocent joy in a child.  But at what stage of life did we lose that?  Somewhere in life's journey from childhood into adulthood we lose that excitement and expectation and begin to look at the problems, challenges and burdens of life.  We all experience some kind of pain, disappointment or rejection - 'that's life' we say. But God has made a way for us to enjoy life again.  After all that's the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  Yet so many fail to enter into the joy of their salvation.  So many of God's children are cast down with heavy burdens.  Jesus said 'come unto me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest'.   Yet

Key Promises

Image
2 Corinthians 1:20.  Tells us that all God's promises are yes and amen.  This means that every promise in the Bible has been made available to every Child of God through Jesus Christ.  Jesus bought and paid for everything with his body and blood on the cross.  This is great news for the children of God - some say that there are over 3000 promises in the bible.  BUT when it comes to standing on his promises regarding our specific situations - Where do we start?  Can we just pick any promise? I believe that in every single situation that we will ever find ourselves in, is an opportunity for our Heavenly Father and our Great Shepherd to reveal something new to us.  I believe that God has the 'key' to open up every situation.  Because He knows all things we can trust in him to show us the best way and the best promise for each and every situation. The Bible teaches us that the Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God - but it also teaches us to be led by His Holy Spirit.

Be Still and Know that I am God

It is a good thing to train ourselves to BE STILL - and KNOW that God is God. God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us - He is with us always.  He is a very present help in times of trouble.  BUT it can be so easy to feel under pressure and forget that no matter what is going on around us our God is God in everything. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, it is so important to know what God has to say about it - regardless of what everyone is saying - but the problem is that when we get under pressure it becomes very difficult to hear what God is saying to us. When we allow ourselves to be still - for even a few moments and remind ourselves that we have a heavenly Father who loves us and that he has sent his Holy Spirit to comfort us, to teach us and to lead us.  As we worship and praise Him for who he is and just lift our eyes to him - he is ready and willing to speak to us and direct us in peace and joy.  This little video has some promises to remind you that G

Healing and Deliverance is yours

Psalm 103 is more than just a beautiful psalm - it is full of truth, hope and light into what belongs to every child of God.  Yet I have watched so many of God's Children including myself live outside the reality of these Living Words of Truth.  Over the last couple of years I have come into a new revelation and the reality of this psalm and the benefits of this wonderful Salvation.  It has changed my life as a christian and has changed and is changing my physical daily live and family.  I have experienced deep healing in my heart and my body, I have seen cycles of problems broken in my family. I have a great desire to share with you how much God loves you and how much he wants you to experience him in real and liberating ways. In the house I live in, we have a large heavy door that opens directly into the garage which we use as a workshop, sometimes a tiny little stone gets lodged under the door and in between the floor tiles - the door gets stuck and just won't move.  Lo

Rejoice Ahead of Time

Image
To Rejoice Ahead of Time really is faith in action, because as we believe and receive we begin to rejoice in spirit that what we are believing for is on it's way now - that our prayer has been heard and has been answered.  There is a great expectation that something is going to happen - we don't know how or where and in what way things will change but like a child waiting on a surprise we are looking and listening with excitement and expectation.  This kind of faith is not easily shaken.  Even more bad news can become a stepping stone under our feet that lifts us up even higher and enables us to reach even deeper into the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  When we allow ourselves to Rejoice and to be Thankful to God for answering our prayers it pleases the heart of our Heavenly Father and brings joy to him.  It is this joy that strengthens us to stand strong.  I used to believe that God would answer my prayer or heal me etc some TIME in the future, that everyt
