Why did Jesus have to come as a baby?

Many can tell the Christmas story, but the real question is Why?  Why was Jesus born as a baby?  Why did he have to come to the earth in this manner?  Until we can understand the Why, we will not be able to enter into the fulness of what True Christianity is all about.   The well known and quoted scriptures about the Christmas Story are read every year, and still people don't understand what they are really reading or hearing.  Many can quote these scriptures by memory, they sing the carols and Christmas songs, without ever even asking the question "BUT WHY?" Isaiah 9 v 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given;  and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.   Are you Ready? We are often asked "Are you all ready for Christmas?" At this time of year there is much preparation, buying gifts, getting our homes ready and filling our shopping trollies with goodies.  We love the lights and decorations that brighten up the long winter nights, the joyful Christmas music filling the air. When our children are small, it is easier to be prepared, and filled with excitement and joy.  For some it is about spending time with friends and family, or just a time of peace and rest from work. I am that person who is never ready for Christmas, today is the 7th of December and I haven't even started shopping or planning. But this morning I woke, thinking about preparing for another Day.  As things in the world seem to be getting more crazy by the day, and so much fear and uncertainty about the future.  I realised that for many of God's people there is something filling the air - a heart felt excitement and a renewed sense of expectancy.
