Love, Power and Soundness of Mind
The last few months have been a very difficult season for many people across the world. Many lives have been turned upside down and many have fallen into fear and despair, many who where already struggling with the darkness of oppression, depression, infirmity and loneliness feel like they have been totally forgotten. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about the spirit of discouragement and how subtle yet dangerous it is.
He showed me The Triplets of Weakness
Sickness and Infirmity for any length of time leads to physical weakness which leads to
Discouragement which leads to weakness of mind and these two left unchecked lead to
Fear which leads to doubt and weakness of spirit
The Spirit of Infirmity will weaken the physical body and exhaust the mind. When the mind is exhausted the Spirit of Discouragement sets to work. When the mind is overwhelmed with discouragement then the body is even more weak. In this vicious circle there is very little defense against fear.
It becomes a 3 fold cord which is not easily broken except by the Fire of the Holy Spirit and the Truth of the Living Word.
God has Not given the spirit of fear but he has given to his Children the spirit of Love, or Power and Soundness of Mind. In his love is the revelation of everything Christ Jesus bought and paid for with his own body of the cross. There is Power in his blood to redeem and free us from every curse and on that cross Jesus wore the crown of thorns to give us soundness of mind.
Isaiah 53v5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Without the knowledge and revelation of God's great love, we cannot receive from him because everything flows from his love.
The Father's Love gave His Son to die for us and it was love that held Jesus on that cross. Love is the foundation the very essence of God.
When this revelation is weak then our ability to receive from him will be weak. The Spirit of Discouragement twists and turns our focus away from God's Love and His plan and causes us to look at what is going on around us. It deceives us into thinking that things can't change or that we have to work things out in our own strength and understanding. Discouragement steals our physical, mental and spiritual strength. Leaving us exhausted and losing hope.
These are the words I heard :-
My Children grow weak and weary when they stop being thirsty for me. They stop drinking, they dry up and become spiritually dehydrated and physically weak. They draw back into despair and discouragement. They long for rest and comfort more than for the water of life. The fight weakens, the longing and desire weakens so that even little rocks along the path become as difficult as hills and mountains to overcome. They get of track and fall prey to the words of the enemy. They fall into pit holes along the way, they slowly lose sight of me and my voice seems to fade into the distance. But I am seeking my children my sheep and I desire to lead them back to green pastures. I have not given up on them even though many have almost given up on me. Hope is almost lost and the light grows dim.
BUT Pray and Speak over them that the Light shall Dawn and the dark clouds will disperse and the sun will shine through. Speak new hope to arise and call forth the new and fresh song of praise. Strength will rise as praise arises. Loose them from the pits of despair and weariness. Loose them from the barbed wire of the enemies lies and loose them to move forward to the sound of my voice. I will lead them by still waters again.
I have recorded this new song "Your Voice O Lord" and scripture reading from Psalm 42 - and I pray that if you have been feeling the weight of discouragement that you will be reminded of God's goodness and that You are precious to your Heavenly Father and that you can know total restoration and healing through Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour.
